If you pay for a treatment, you should be able to rely on it. Ours come with a three-month guarantee, and if the pest comes back, so do we, at no charge.
Our treatments carry a three-month guarantee. If the pest we treated for comes back during that time, phone us, tell us what you're seeing, and we'll come back to deal with it. That call-back is free: you don't pay for the return visit or the follow-up treatment. If you'd like the details for your particular job in writing, ask when we quote.
Pest Worx is a SAPCA-registered company, a member of the South African Pest Control Association, with more than 25 years of work in homes and businesses from the coast to the Klein Karoo behind it. A guarantee is easy to print on a website. What matters is whether the company picks up the phone when you use it, and that's how we'd like to be judged.
Why three months
Most insect and rodent work happens in stages. Cockroach bait takes time to work through a population. Flea pupae keep hatching for a while after the house is treated. Rodent bait needs time to reach every animal in the roof. Three months covers that settling period and gives the treatment a fair chance to show whether it has done its job.

It helps to call early. A few cockroaches a fortnight after treatment are often part of the normal clean-up. A steady stream a month later needs us back.
Termites and larger jobs
Termite treatments, soil poisoning for new buildings and other larger jobs are planned around the specific building, and their terms are different. They're set out in writing with your quote, before any work starts, so you know exactly what applies to your property. If you have a question about them, ask us before you accept the quote.
What helps a treatment last
A treatment works best when the house helps. None of this is fine print, it's simply what makes the difference between a pest that goes and one that comes back.
- Follow the advice on the day. We'll tell you what to do after the treatment: how long before you mop, which bait not to wipe away, what to keep closed
- Close the gaps. Rodents come back through the same holes. We'll show you where they are; getting them closed is the part that keeps rats out for good
- Treat the pets. For fleas, the pets need their own vet treatment in the same week, or the house is re-infested from the animals
- Keep food sealed and surfaces clean. Particularly for cockroaches and ants

How long is the guarantee?
Three months on our treatments. If the treated pest returns in that time, the call-back is free. For termite treatments and larger jobs, the terms are set out in writing with your quote.
What if the pest comes back after three months?
Call us anyway. We'll look at why it has returned, tell you honestly if something around the house is drawing it back, and quote for a new treatment if one is needed.
The cockroaches seemed worse straight after the treatment. Is that normal?
For a few days, yes. Treated cockroaches come out of hiding before they die. If you're still seeing them in numbers after a couple of weeks, call us.
Do I pay for a guarantee call-back?
No. If the pest we treated for comes back within three months, the return visit and follow-up treatment are free.
How do I claim on the guarantee?
